Delhi Police`s all-women contingent will march for the first time at the Republic Day parade on January 26 to promote gender equality and women`s empowerment within the force.

The forthcoming Republic Day parade on January 26 will be a historic event, as the Delhi Police`s all-women contingent will march along the Kartavya Path for the first time. The initiative aims to promote gender equality and women`s empowerment within the force stated a report in PTI.
According to the report, the trailblazing all-women contingent, led by Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Shweta K Sugathan, will consist of 194 female head constables and constables in total. Every day, the dedicated group practices diligently on the Kartyava Path, preparing to create a lasting impression at the parade.
