The Government on Tuesday sent a senior Indian Police Service officer, Rajiv Singh, to Manipur and he likely to be appointed in a key post to handle the prevailing security situation in the state. Singh is currently working as Inspector General with the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)

The Government on Tuesday sent a senior Indian Police Service officer, Rajiv Singh, to Manipur and he likely to be appointed in a key post to handle the prevailing security situation in the state. Singh is currently working as Inspector General with the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
An official order said that Singh, a 1993-batch IPS officer of the Tripura cadre, has been sent to Manipur on inter-cadre deputation for three years.
