Dussehra or Vijayadashami is an annual festival celebrated by Indians across the country on the 10th day of the Hindu month of Ashvina. The day falls after Navratri, the nine-day festival celebrated to honor the nine incarnations of Goddess Durga.
It is observed across the nation with great pomp and show. Observed at the end of Navratri every year, Dussehra symbolises the triumph of good over evil. It is believed that the festival is celebrated to remember the victory of Lord Ram over Ravana.
