Look before you take a sip of 'The Taste of India' as the bottle of the popular brand of flavoured milk products might have some pests in it.
Devendra Sharma, a resident of Paharganj, was about to give a bottle of Amul's elaichi flavoured milk to his children when he found the neck of the bottle was rusted and flies sticking to the neck of another. He had bought the two bottles of the Amul Cool flavoured milk from Store 18 in Noida.
"I was shocked. I checked the expiry date mentioned on the bottle which showed the milk has not yet expired," said a stunned Devendra.
The manufacturing date mentioned on the bottle is 28/07/2010 and the milk would expire on the 180th day from the date of manufacturing. Reportedly, Devendra bought the flavoured milk on September 20 and the product is yet to reach expiry date.
Devendra is one of the regular customers of Store 18. But after the incident he is apprehensive about buying products from the store again.
"Now I won't buy any product from this store. I used to trust them, but I cannot take anyu00a0 risk with the health of my children. In case my kids had consumed the milk, who would have taken the responsibility?" asked Devendra.
