Former Union Minister and the Congress Lok Sabha candidate from Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh Kantilal Bhuria on Thursday stirred controversy by saying those with two wives will get Rs 2 lakh if his party comes to power.

Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar said that only what has been written in the party`s manifesto will be implemented. The statement comes a day after the Lok Sabha candidate from Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh stirred controversy by saying that those with two wives will get Rs 2 lakh if his party comes to power.
"Our party manifesto is in public and only what is written in it will get implemented. It doesn`t matter what I or someone else says, " Vijay Wadettiwar, who is the also leader of the opposition in the Maharashtra legislative assembly, referring to Bhuria`s controversial comment, reported news agency ANI.
