COVID-19: Maharashtra, MP, among 6 states which account for 83 per cent cases

Of the 43,846 new Covid-19 cases reported in the last 24 hours, Maharashtra continued to report the highest single day tally at 27,126, followed by Punjab (2,578), Kerala (2,078), Karnataka (1,798), Gujarat (1,565) and Madhya Pradesh (1,308)

Six states -- Maharashtra, Punjab, Kerala, Karnataka, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh -- account for 83.14 per cent of the new Covid-19 cases in the country.
The calculation is based on the latest figures shared by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Sunday.
