Leader of the Trinamool Congress Abhishek Banerjee asserted on Tuesday that the BJP has been "partially fractured" politically over the last five phases of the ongoing Lok Sabha polls and that this division will be "complete" following the last round of voting on June 1.
Per a PTI report, the national general secretary of the TMC further declared that the saffron party`s "exit is definite" following the announcement of the election results, citing the people of the nation as having already given their mandate against it. "The life of the present BJP government at the Centre is only 10 days," Banerjee remarked, endorsing TMC candidate Arup Chakraborty from the Bankura Lok Sabha constituency. The TMC MP, who is also Mamata Banerjee`s nephew and the party`s leader, declared that "the country`s people have politically split the BJP in half over the last five phases." The seventh and final round of the Lok Sabha elections will mark the end of this process.
