<p>Delhi Water Minister Atishi on Monday visited the Wazirabad barrage and appealed to the Haryana government to release water in the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/news/india-news/article/delhi-atishi-asks-police-to-guard-water-pipelines-23354476" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Yamuna river</a>.</p>
<p>Atishi said the Wazirabad barrage gets water from Haryana which goes to the water treatment plants of Chandrawal, Okhla and Wazirabad.</p>
<p>&ldquo;If no water is received, how will the water treatment plants work? We appeal to Haryana that the people in Delhi are worried and they should release water in Yamuna river,&rdquo; she added. &nbsp;</p>
<h2>Delhi water crisis BJP-made: Sanjay</h2>
<p>AAP MP Sanjay Singh alleged that the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/news/india-news/article/delhi-no-respite-from-sizzling-heat-orange-alert-issued-for-next-3-days-23354277" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">water crisis</a> was orchestrated by BJP. Singh accused the saffron party of hatching a conspiracy against the residents of the national capital. There was no immediate reaction from the BJP on the allegations. &ldquo;I am saying there is a BJP-sponsored water crisis. BJP wants no water for Delhi people and there are doing all conspiracies to ensure it,&rdquo; Singh alleged.</p>
<h2>Supply to be affected in Lutyens&rsquo; Delhi</h2>
<p>Water supply will be affected in parts of Lutyens&rsquo; Delhi, NDMC officials said. &ldquo;As informed by DJB that production of potable water from Wazirabad water plant is not running at full capacity due to non-availability of raw water, hence water supply in command area of Tilak Marg underground water reservoir (UGR) and Bengali market UGR will be made available once in a day, preferably in morning time,&rdquo; the official said.&nbsp;</p>
