Action against 70 officials for skipping election training in Lucknow

The training included the provision of a comprehensive understanding of the polling process and the guidelines that need to be followed for holding free and fair elections

Departmental action has been initiated by 70 officials who didn`t turn up for the training of presiding and polling officers held here. The District Magistrate Surya Pal Gangwar has taken action against all these officials.
On Monday, Gangwar who took stock for the first day of the training session informed the respective departments to take strict action against these officials under the relevant sections of the Representation of the People Act.
