City’s AQI improved to 97 on Sunday; heavy rain alert for Thane, Palghar districts

According to a senior official from IMD`s Regional Meteorological Centre, Mumbai, “A trough has developed in the Bay of Bengal and it is currently moving towards the Maharashtra coastline. This movement is anticipated to bring rainfall to several coastal districts, including parts of Mumbai and the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
The city’s western suburbs witnessed rain and lighting on Saturday and Sunday. According to BMC data, Andheri West received 14 mm of rain, while 13 mm was recorded at Malvani in the morning. On Sunday evening, Malvani received 14 mm of rain, while Borivli recorded 11 mm in one hour from 6 pm to 7 pm.
