As the city police and Mumbai Crime Branch intensify their search for an unknown individual who sent two death-threat emails to India`s wealthiest businessman Mukesh Ambani, in a span of 24 hours, another email, demanding Rs 400 crore, was sent to him on Monday morning. In this communication, the sender boldly asserted that the police could not track them.

Sources said the security in-charge of Antilia, the Ambani residence, has reported to the Gamdevi police about the third threat email purportedly been sent by one Shadab Khan using encrypted email service Mailfence. “Now the amount is Rs 400 crore and the police can’t track and arrest me. No matter how good your security is, only one of our snipers can kill you,” the third email read. Around 8.51 pm on Friday, the same email service was utilised to send a threat email demanding Rs 20 crore from the industrialist. The amount was increased to Rs 200 crore in the second email. The police have been unable to track the sender as it is suspected that a VPN was used while sending the email. The IP address that was uncovered was that of a location in Belgium.
