The assistant municipal commissioner of Ward Committee No 3 of Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation, Dattatray Jadhav, has been summarily suspended by the Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation for alleged negligence in implementing the Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin scheme. The scheme provides a monthly deposit of Rs 1,500 in women’s accounts.
Jadhav was absent from a meeting organised by the authorities and failed to provide information sought at a previous meeting held at the ward committee office.
As a result, he has been suspended by Municipal Commissioner Aziz Shaikh, pending further investigation.
