<a href="https://www.mid-day.com/search/Thane-all" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Thane</a> district on Thursday reported 11 new <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mumbai-reports-100-new-covid-19-cases-active-cases-now-at-688-23248116" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Covid-19 cases</a>. The new cases took the infection tally to 1,96,649, according to a bulletin issued by the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC).
According to the bulletin, no coronavirus related death was reported on September 29. The Covid-19 fatality toll in Thane now stands at 2,162.

With the addition of the latest cases, Thane currently has 105 active Covid-19 cases.
13 Covid-19 patients recovered on Thursday, taking the total number of recoveries since the beginning in the city to 1,94,382. The recovery rate in the TMC area is 98.85 per cent.

According to the bulletin, no coronavirus related death was reported on September 29. The Covid-19 fatality toll in Thane now stands at 2,162
