Thane: Drug held with Rs 3.6 lakh worth of ganja and other narcotics

Authorities in Thane district, Maharashtra, detained a drug peddler, Ashraf Rahium Beig, alias Danny, on Friday in Mumbra`s Jeevan Baug area, seizing eight kilograms of ganja and other narcotics valued at Rs 3.60 lakh, as confirmed by an official on Saturday.
Acting on a tip-off, the police established a trap that led to Beig`s arrest. Upon searching him, officials discovered 140 bottles of cough syrup and eight kilograms of ganja, estimated at a total worth of Rs 3,60,000, the PTI report stated.
