In a significant development, the Thane city police have apprehended another suspect in connection with the murder of a Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leader that occurred three years ago. The arrest comes as a breakthrough in the case that sent shockwaves through the region, stated a report in PTI.
According to the report, the police have taken into custody Habib Ajmain Sheikh (36), who had been a fugitive since the fatal shooting of MNS leader Jameel Sheikh, who held the position of president for the party`s Rabodi ward. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Shivraj Patil confirmed the arrest, marking a significant step towards resolving the long-standing case.
