Students from non-state board schools who will be vying for admission to First Year Junior College (FYJC) are struggling with the Common Entrance Test. Not only do they have a few new topics to study now for the CET as their curriculum is different from the State Board, they are also finding it difficult to decide whether to register for it since their Std X result is still pending.
“If I knew my Std X score, I could at least take the risk of not registering for CET as the Std X score would give me an idea if I can get admission to colleges I prefer. But now without knowing it, I am bound to register for CET with hope of getting the college I want,” said Karan Shah, a student from an ICSE school in Borivli.
