The Sion Road Bridge that connects Matunga and Kurla of Mumbai is scheduled to be demolished by the Central Railway. Ahead of its demolition, Mumbai Police on Wednesday issued traffic diversions in parts of the city.
In a traffic notification, Mumbai Police said, "Central Railway authority is going to demolish Sion Over Bridge which connects Matunga and Kurla division falls in Central Traffic Division in Mumbai. Vehicular traffic from Matunga traffic division, Dr. B.A. Road through west bound of Sion Over Bridge towards L.B.S. Road or Saint Rohidas Road, Similarly, Vehicular traffic from Kurla traffic division L.B.S road or Saint Rohids Road through Sion Over Bridge East Bound towards B.A. Road is being diverted on temporary basis."
