Sedition charge against Sanjay Raut dropped by Maharashtra Police

Maharashtra police have withdrawn the sedition charge from the case lodged against Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut over an allegedly objectionable article against Prime Minister Narendra Modi published in his party`s publication Saamana.

The Maharashtra police have withdrawn the sedition charge from the case lodged against Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut over an allegedly objectionable article against Prime Minister Narendra Modi published in his party`s publication Saamana, an official told news agency PTI on Tuesday.
Saamana`s executive editor is Sanjay Raut.
