Those travelling to international countries for work, education and those participating in the Tokyo Olympics can now get their second dose of Covishield after a gap of 28 days instead of 84 days. The BMC issued a circular that allows those travelling abroad to complete their vaccination process. A proforma will have to be filled by these beneficiaries that will be uploaded on the CoWIN portal to fulfil the procedure.
People in need of the service will have to submit relevant documents at the vaccination centre to get the second dose. Students going abroad for studies will have to submit Visa documents or admit cards; those going for work will have to produce documents from their employer, and those going for interviews will also have to provide letters from prospective employers. Those going to Tokyo for the Olympics will need formal letters from the government’s sports department.
