Accused Anuj Thapan’s family demands CBI probe into his death

According to the police he was arrested from Punjab as they had alleged that he had supplied arms to the other accused.

The mother of Anuj Thapan has filed a petition in the Bombay High Court seeking a CBI probe into his death. Thapan, who was accused in the Salman Khan shooting case, died in custody on May 1 after allegedly committing suicide. According to the police he was arrested from Punjab as they had alleged that he had supplied arms to the other accused.
Family of Anuj Kumar Thapan are now demanding a CBI investigation into his death. They accused the police of mistreating their son and have further claimed that he was strangled to death. The post-mortem confirmed a ligature mark on his neck typical of hanging cases
