CP Amitesh Kumar reveals family threatened driver to take blame for accident

Police questioned driver and, following a preliminary investigation into Pune car crash, discovered that the youngster was actually driving.

Amitesh Kumar, Commissioner of Police, has disclosed that the family of minor accused of Pune car crash threatened their driver to take the blame. The event, which claimed the lives of two youngsters, is currently being investigated.
Commissioner Kumar added that when the driver was originally taken to the police station, he claimed to be driving the car. However, the police questioned his account and, following a preliminary investigation into Pune car crash, discovered that the youngster was actually driving. The driver, Gangadhar, said that he was taken against his will to the home of the accused`s grandpa, Surendra Kumar Agarwal, where he was threatened and made to accept blame for the accident, reported ANI.
