Private vaccination centres vaccinated the majority of the beneficiaries over the past two days. A total of 94,941 citizens were administered Covid-19 shots on Sunday and Monday, and 71,523 of them paid for their vaccines.
Of the 71,523 recipients, 62,354 (85 per cent) were in the 18 to 44 years age group, and nearly 62,000 went to private centres. The prime minister on Monday announced free vaccination for all adults from June 21, but 4,85,553 youngsters in the city have already availed the paid vaccination service. Many even went to Thane, Palghar and Navi Mumbai.
