Police still unable to find corporator’s absconding son

Even three days after booking him in a case of kidnapping and extortion, cops have not been able to trace him

Even three days after being booked for extortion and kidnapping, BJP Corporator Rajani Keni’s son, Namit Keni, is still absconding. The Navghar Police are still clueless about his whereabouts. According to sources, the accused has filed an application for anticipatory bail in the sessions court.
Sanket Hirlekar, a civil contractor, had been assigned a tender for civil work in T ward, Mulund East. He was allotted the tender through the online process. However, in his complaint to the Navghar Police he alleged that he was called to Rajani’s office and threatened by her son Namit and two others, who asked him to withdraw the tender.
