Platform numbers at Panvel rly stn to be renumbered ahead of yard remodelling

The Central Railway is renumbering platforms at Panvel Railway Station in preparation for the upcoming Panvel Suburban Yard Remodelling project.

The Central Railway is renumbering platforms at Panvel Railway Station in preparation for the upcoming Panvel Suburban Yard Remodelling project. On Tuesday, in a media statement, CR said that the move is aimed at streamlining operations and enhancing passenger experience.
According to the press statement, after the renumbering exercise, the Old platform no 1 will henceforth be known as the New platform no 3. Following that, the Old platform number 3 will be renumbered as New platform no 1. Meanwhile, the Old platform number 2 will retain its current designation as New platform 2.
