A 46-year-old man was arrested by Navi Mumbai police in Maharashtra for possessing mephedrone, a synthetic party drug worth approximately Rs 5.2 lakh, as per official reports on Saturday.
According to a report in PTI, acting on received intelligence, the police searched Safhi Ahmed Iqbal Ahmed near the Kharghar crematorium on Thursday afternoon. During the inspection, he was found with 52 grams of mephedrone, commonly known as `meow meow`, valued at around Rs 5.2 lakh. The report quoted officials saying, Ahmed has been charged under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
