A 26-year-old Naval sailor, Daneshwar Sahoo, originally from Chhattisgarh and stationed at the Indian Navy’s shore establishment in south Mumbai, has gone missing. The Mumbai Police have initiated a search operation to locate him after his family reported his disappearance on August 28.
Sahoo`s ordeal began when he fell ill, prompting him to seek medical attention at the INHS Asvini hospital in Colaba on July 19. Following a period of treatment, he was discharged on August 21, with the intention of resuming his duties on August 23. However, to the shock of his family, he failed to report for duty, prompting his father to receive a disconcerting call from Naval authorities.
