Under deep cleaning drive, BMC collects 200 metric tonnes of waste in a day

On Saturday, April 27, Mumbai`s intensified sanitation delivered huge results, with authorities collecting an astounding 122 metric tonnes of garbage, 21 metric tonnes of bulk waste, and 66 metric tonnes of debris.
The Deep Cleaning Drive, coordinated by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation commissioner and administrator Bhushan Gagrani, involved 1,403 workers and employees. A total of 336 km of road were carefully cleaned, first brushing and then washing with water.
