Twenty five people died in house collapses triggered by landslides following incessant overnight rains in Mumbai, which caused severe water logging and disruption of suburban train services and vehicular traffic in the financial capital on Sunday, officials said

Water supply in most parts of the city was hit on Sunday as the filtration and pumping plants at Bhandup Water Purification Complex had to be shut due to flooding, following the incessant rains.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) informed citizens via Twitter and also asked them to "boil water before consuming."
