Nine months after 21-year-old woman was rescued from Madhya Pradesh, Dharavi cops nab mastermind couple

The Dharavi police have arrested a 35-year-old man and his live-in partner for allegedly running a racket where young women were married off to residents of Karnakhedi village on the Madhya Pradesh-Rajasthan border. Police stated that the victims were made to believe they were auditioning for roles of brides in serials and instructed to stay in character while the marriage ceremonies were being solemnised in the hamlet.
Nine months ago, the Dharavi police rescued a 21-year-old victim from Rajasthan. After this, four others were duped by the accused, Karan Ganga Bhoir and Aisha, who used the exact modus operandi. These women, however, escaped after releasing they had been deceived.
