One person lost his life, and four others sustained injuries after a portion of a building collapsed in Bhayander East in Mumbai on Thursday morning at around 10 am. The building, which had been declared dilapidated by the local civic body, was identified as Nav Kirti Premises Co-Op Housing Society, situated near Bhayander station.
The deceased person`s identity remains unknown at this time, but locals speculate that he could have been one of the shoe shiners who worked at Bhayander railway station. According to witnesses, he might have been at the location to have breakfast when the tragedy struck, and he got trapped under the debris following the building`s collapse.
