Mumbai: JCB driver trapped as soil collapses near Versova bridge

Police said the incident occurred at 9:30 pm while the JCB driver was digging near Versova bridge. The container held roughly six to seven people, including labourers.

A JCB driver was trapped under soil after it collapsed near Versova Bridge in Vasai late Wednesday night while digging. An officer`s container was also buried, but villagers rescued approximately six individuals.
The incident occurred at Versova Bridge on the Thane-Mira Bhayandar Highway. The Kashimira police and fire departments responded swiftly to the situation and began rescue operations. There have been no casualties reported thus far.
