Mumbai hotelier, elderly parents charged for assaulting & torturing wife

The Mumbai hotelier`s wife Shahana claimed her husband and in-laws extorted money from her parents and accused her of having an extramarital affair.

The city police on Wednesday charged a 46-year-old Mumbai hotelier and his elderly parents for allegedly abusing and emotionally torturing his wife, an official said. The hotelier from Mumbai`s Worli was identified as Prahlad Advani who was charged after his wife Shahana Advani, aged 43, filed a complaint against him, reported PTI.
According to the news agency report, Shahana, in her complaint filed on June 13, accused her husband, Prahlad, his father Sundargurdas (85) and his mother Menaka (78) of extorting money from her parents and accusing her of having an extramarital affair.
