Mumbai: Fire breaks out in residential building in Chembur
According to the civic body, the incident was reported to the officials at around 2:43 pm on Saturday following which the fire brigade rushed to the spot

A Fire broke out in a residential building in Chembur east on Saturday afternoon. Six people were shifted to a hospital due to suffocation, condition of all admitted is stable, the BMC said.
The BMC said that the fire was confined to electric wiring, garbage and scrapped household materials in an open duct from ground to 12th floor level and the wooden door on the terrace. Entire staircase right up to terrace was smoke logged and heat density was much higher on 11th and 12th floor.
