Dr Peter V Giannoudis from University of Leeds flies in from UK to advise team

Anahita Pandole, who was injured in the car crash that killed industrialist Cyrus Mistry and his friend Jehangir Pandole on September 4, has undergone pelvic reconstructive surgery. The renowned gynaecologist went under the knife on Thursday at Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital.
Dr Tarang Gianchandani, CEO, Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital, said “Dr Anahita Pandole has been operated on for pelvic reconstruction by an expert team of doctors. Given the complex pelvic fracture, multiple opinions of various experts around the world were also taken, including doctors from the US, UK and Europe. The team that conducted the surgery includes Dr Vaibhav Bagaria, director, department of orthopaedics; Dr Dilip Tanna, mentor, orthopaedics; Dr Darius Soonawala, consultant, orthopaedics; and senior anaesthetist Dr Daisy along with trained nurses and technicians.”
