Father, brother and their friend held for ‘honour killing’ of woman, her husband in Govandi

Three people, including the father, have been arrested for allegedly killing a 20-year-old woman and her 22-year-old husband. The cops have managed to arrest three people and are still searching for others. The father had planned the entire killing. He first slit his son-in-law’s throat and dumped his body in a well while he strangulated his daughter in a car and dumped the body in Navi Mumbai. The entire plot was unearthed thanks to a piece of paper that had the mobile number of the deceased scribbled in his own handwriting.
The incident came to light on Saturday, October 14, when a few local boys had gone for a swim to a well inside Telecom Factory Colony, Govandi. One of the boys dived deep and felt a body below. They immediately informed the police. “We immediately rushed to the spot. His throat was slit,” said an officer from Govandi police station. “We rushed the body to Shatabdi Hospital and filed and Accidental Death Report and initiated investigation,” he added.
