Members discussed issues with BMC officials and were assured of resolutions; meeting comes after the CM recently pulled up civic body over filthy streets in Mazgaon

The ALM members asked the officials to address various issues, including hawkers and the menace of parked autorickshaws
Days after Chief Minister Eknath Shinde criticized the BMC over its solid waste management, the civic body called a meeting of all the ALMs in H west ward. Assistant Commissioner Vinayak Vispute and MLA Ashish Shelar attended the meeting that was held on Monday at the H ward office. Also in attendance were officers from the police department.
An ALM member from St. Paul’s Road pointed out that there is an open garbage container in his locality that is consistently overflowing with waste. “Slum residents use it and the BMC comes to pick up the garbage. But for the past 10 days, the garbage truck hasn’t come to pick up the waste from buildings on our road,” he said.
