Mumbai: City sees most rain in 24 hours, but lakes stock still below half

As per the IMD forecast the intensity of rain will reduce on Sunday, but the city may receive heavy rainfall at isolated places

Santa Cruz received 203 mm rain in 24 hours on Saturday morning, the highest this season. But, the city continued to face water cuts as the lake water stock has still not reached 50 per cent. 

According to IMD data, the Santa Cruz observatory recorded 203 mm of rainfall, while the weather station at Colaba recorded 103 mm of rainfall in 24 hours till 8.30 am Saturday. As per the IMD forecast the intensity of rain will reduce on Sunday, but the city may receive heavy rainfall at isolated places.
