After MBBS and MD doctors, the BMC is now looking for BAMS doctors for HBT clinics and outreach services. Apart from doctors, the civic health department is also looking for auxiliary nurses and midwives (ANM).
To provide better health care at the doorstep of Mumbaikars, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has started strengthening its primary health care centre. The civic body, in its budget for the financial year 2022-23, had announced the opening of 200 Hinduhrudaysamrat Balasaheb Thackarey (HBT) clinics. From October 2, the civic body launched 66 clinics and polyclinics in a phase-wise manner. More will be opened soon. In the past 100 days, over two lakh Mumbaikars have approached these clinics for treatment.
