CSMIA experienced a 6 per cent growth in overall cargo volumes in FY 2023–24, with a 10 per cent increase in international cargo

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) witnessed a 6 per cent year-on-year growth in overall cargo volumes (domestic and international in the financial year 2023-24). International cargo volumes alone increased by 10 per cent, said the Mumbai airport. The airport also registered a 20 per cent increase in the total number of Cargo Air Traffic Movements (ATMs).
CSMIA currently connects with a network of close to 700 cargo destinations. “Automobile products, pharmaceuticals & agriculture products were the top three categories of products transported internationally via CSMIA’s air cargo. In general cargo, engineering goods, and post office (PO) mail were the top three categories of products transported domestically from CSMIA,” said the airport.
