Three pedestrians sustained injuries after a speeding vehicle dashed them on Tuesday evening between 7.15 pm to 7.30 pm in Mumbai`s Fort area. An 80-year-old man was behind the wheel at the time of the incident. The driver was driving an automatic car.
According to the preliminary information received, the driver, Dilip Chatwani, a Mahim resident was crossing the CSMT junction from GPO road towards BMC headquarters. Upon crossing the signal, he accelerated the car`s speed and dashed into a BEST bus and later into four pedestrians standing in front of the McDonald`s outlet there.
