Declaring the arrival of Southwest Monsoon on Wednesday over Mumbai, Thane, and Palghar, the MeT department had said that Mumbai will continue to experience heavy rainfall till June 15.

As Mumbai and neighbouring areas witness heavy rainfall leading to water logging, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert with a forecast of heavy rain at isolated places in Mumbai and suburbs for the weekend.
“Moderate to heavy rainfall in city and suburbs with the possibility of very heavy falls at isolated places for the next 48 hours,” IMD said.
