Narayan Rane claims Lotus has bloomed in Konkan

The BJP has never won a seat in the Konkan region. Rane faced off against Vinayak Raut, a Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate.

Union Minister and BJP candidate Narayan Rane declared on Tuesday that "the lotus has finally bloomed in Konkan". The MP had made the statement earlier when he appeared to win the Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg Lok Sabha constituency in Maharashtra. The lotus is the BJP`s electoral symbol.
