On Wednesday, six members of a family were killed and one injured when their car plunged into a dry canal in Maharashtra`s Sangli district. According to a report in PTI, an official said that among the six deceased, three are children.
The PTI report stated that the accident occurred in the early morning hours in the Chinchani area of Sangli district. The official told the news agency that the victims were heading to Tasgaon in an Alto after attending a birthday party in the Kavathe-Mahankal area when the vehicle rolled down to the dry bed of the canal.
