The Karwa Chauth festival is celebrated on a full-moon day. On this auspicious day, married women from different parts of the country keep fast for the whole day to pray for their partner`s long and healthy life.
Every year, Karwa Chauth falls on the fourth day of the full moon in the month of Kartik. It also celebrates the union of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.
