Heatwave alert in Mumbai, Solapur hottest in Maharashtra at 43.7 degrees Celsius

A second heatwave warning has been issued by the IMD for Mumbai and Maharashtra`s Solapur on Sunday recorded a temperature of 43.7 degrees Celsius

A heatwave warning has been issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) for Mumbai and some of its neighboring areas including Thane and Palghar.
The temperature in several areas of Maharashtra crossed 40 degrees Celsius on Sunday, with Solapur the hottest at 43.7 degrees Celsius, a rise of 2.3 degrees from the normal, according to the PTI.
