Survivors of the blaze recall the horrifying moments in the dead of the night; several families have lost a member

Tisha Chougule, 18, one of the seven people who died in the blaze
My husband, my son, and I are fine, but I couldn’t find my daughter. Has she been taken to another hospital? I want to talk to her once,” said Laxmi Chougule, the mother of 18-year-old Tisha Chougule, one of the seven victims who lost their lives in a massive fire that gutted their residence in Goregaon. Tisha, an HSC student, was working hard so she could pursue computer science after her HSC, her father, Sanjay Chougule, told mid-day.
Chougule broke down, saying the family has not informed Laxmi that their daughter is no more. "She is already in a state of shock, grappling with the aftermath of the fire and the extent of the damage we`ve experienced. Given her current condition, I am hesitant to share the news of our daughter`s passing with her at this moment. My wife, my son Tejas,15, escaped unhurt, but we lost Tisha," said Chougule.
