Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has directed the National Highway Authority of India to ensure timely completion of the Mumbai-Nashik highway project and emphasized the need for safety measures during road construction. He also called for high-quality repair work on the Wada-Bhiwandi road and strict accountability for any substandard work. The Chief Minister also urged effective traffic regulation on these roads, particularly for vehicles entering Thane and Mumbai city areas.
During a review meeting, it was decided to provide five lakh rupees to the families of those who lost their lives in an accident on the Mumbai-Nashik highway from the Chief Minister`s Aid Fund. Thane District Collector will be responsible for disbursing the funds.
