Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis took a swipe at Congress leaders on Friday, likening them to the forgetful protagonist in the film `Ghajini,` alleging that they suffer from memory loss, promptly forgetting their election promises after victory. Fadnavis made these remarks at a campaign rally in Burhanpur assembly constituency, in Madhya Pradesh, ahead of the November 17 elections, supporting BJP candidate Archana Chitnis.
In his address, as reported by news agency PTI, Fadnavis criticized Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, and Kamal Nath, asserting that Congress leaders make announcements but fail to deliver on their assurances once elected. Drawing parallels with the character played by Aamir Khan in the 2008 film `Ghajini,` who suffers from amnesia, Fadnavis claimed, `Congress is suffering from the disease of Ghajini.`"
