In a fierce electoral battle Congress dominates statewide, Shinde leads Shiv Sena to victory

Congress and BJP contested in 15 constituencies across the state. In this battle, Congress emerged victorious in 11 constituencies, while BJP secured 6. In the contest between Shiv Sena and Shiv Sena (UBT), Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s faction took the lead, winning in seven of the 13 constituencies where they faced off.
Vidarbha region witnessed most of the fights between the two national parties. While Congress succeeded in winning in four constituencies - Amravati, Bhandara-Gondia, Chandrapur, and Gadchiroli - BJP won in Nagpur and Akola.
