Mumbai railway will get a red, pink, and purple cover as mass plantation of Bougainvillea glabra plantation will soon begin across Central Railway lines. The plantation comes in an array of colours, including shades of pink, red, and purple that will be maintained for a year by the Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL).
Central Railway`s (CR) Mumbai division has formalised a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with BPCL to embark on a tree plantation drive aimed at curbing carbon footprints and enhancing the visual appeal of railway tracks.
